Huttopia Rambouillet is located in the heart of the Rambouillet national forest, beside the Etang d’or (Golden Pond) and at the edge of the Parc Naturel Régional de la Haute Vallée de Chevreuse.
Here you can enjoy leisure activities in natural surroundings and explore the largest forest in the departement of Yvelines; see for yourself its rich natural heritage and the essential role it plays in protecting the environment.
Huttopia has chosen for you a programme of activities based around the forest and culture that will appeal to children and to families !
To make things easier for you, you can find all the information you need and buy or book tickets at the campsite reception.
You could, for instance, take a walk in the company of an enthusiastic guide along the trails around the vast, wild Forest of Rambouillet and its ponds, or hire a mountain bike at the campsite and explore the myriad of forest paths either alone or with a guide, breathe in the fresh air as you try out Nordic walking in the forest, a full workout programme…or simply enjoy some peaceful fishing in the Etang d’Or...
You can explore the Upper Chevreuse Valley on foot, horseback or by bicycle and discover its cultural heritage (châteaux, manor houses, imposing stately homes, a highly varied testimony to an illustrious past...
Activities aimed particularly at the children...
Your children (aged 5 -11) will enjoy our Huttopia récrés-enfants [Kids’ Club] which takes place, every morning, Monday to Friday, during the season from 10am – 12noon: campsite activities are arranged – games, arts and crafts, and activities where the children can explore the natural world.
They will make new friends!
You can take them to see the Bergerie nationale, a real-life working sheep farm with horses, cows, pigs, chickens and of course its sheepfold where more than 1000 lambs are born each year, including the famous Merino sheep. You could ride in a horse-drawn carriage through the famous hunting ground of the President of the Republic…
In the Espace Rambouillet Forest Nature Reserve, deep in the heart of a national forest spanning 250 hectares, managed by the ONF [National Forestry Commission], you will discover a unique approach to wildlife; setting out like explorers  to catch a glimpse of stags, doe, fallow deer, wild boar and perhaps even an auroch...
In September, the rutting season, you can take part in a deer spotting expedition at nightfall...
Not to mention the facilities on site to offer you hours of fun and relaxation :

Learn all about the local area during evening events organised at the campsite during July and August: Introduction to the region by a local personality, treasure hunt organised by the ONF [National Forestry Commission] to explore the site's ecosystem and history, excursions by night, themed dinners, evening dances for all the family, concerts, etc.

The programme is introduced over a welcome drink on Friday evenings at 7pm, a key opportunity for you to find out the week’s programme, chat to our activity organisers and sample local produce...
